What happens if the weight limit is exceeded for General Waste?

An excess weight charge of $297 per tonne will automatically apply to your card when the weight limit is exceeded. General Waste encompasses a mixture of non-hazardous, lightweight materials commonly discarded in standard bins. This category includes a mixture of Furniture, Textiles, Wood, Gyprock, Metal, Fittings and Fixtures, Timber, Branches, Leaves, Grass, Soil, Bricks, Tiles, along with everyday household and various miscellaneous items not designated for recycling or special disposal. Be mindful that Extra Charge Items apply, and Prohibited Items are not accepted.
